2017 marks a significant milestone for First Steps, Inc. We are celebrating our sixtieth year of serving children with special needs and medical conditions and their typically developing peers and you’re invited to join our celebration!
Thanks to supporters like you, First Steps continues to be a direct source of hope and loving support for families struggling with the challenges of meeting the day-to-day needs of their child.

A very good friend of First Steps has donated two tickets to Game 6 to us! We’re doing a quick 24 hour online auction in order to benefit our kids and families. The auction will close at 3 p.m. Saturday and the winning bidder will be notified immediately by email. Tickets will be delivered by email for download onto a mobile device for game entry. There are many ways your company can get involved with First Steps. General Corporate donations help offset the costs of quality childcare and therapy for children with special needs, developmental delays, and other challenges. Often, therapy insurance reimbursement rates will not cover the cost of care. Additionally, there is extensive training and support needed for the teachers in our inclusive childcare center and outreach program.
Event sponsorships are another way to support First Steps. Vino on the Veranda sponsorships range from $2,500 to $10,000 and include many marketing benefits and event tickets. Patrons can attend for $500 and receive marketing benefits. We are also seeking a new sponsor for the annual art show.
At Vino on the Veranda, we host an auction as well. If your company can donate goods or services for the auction, this is a great way to support our fundraising efforts. We can also often use your in-kind services to assist with facility needs or programs.

The Big Payback is back, and we are participating!
Save the date for Wednesday May 3rd!
The Big Payback is a community-wide, online giving day hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The 2017 charitable event will feature our kids and their stories. This event helps to support our programs, as well as, celebrate the good work of participating Middle Tennessee nonprofits, schools, and religious institutions.
How does The Big Payback work? Kicking off at midnight on Tuesday, donors can make gifts online for 24 hours! Your contributions to First Steps could be amplified by additional incentives, bonuses and prizes made possible by The Big Payback sponsors throughout the day on Wednesday.

We are so excited to offer you a new way to give to First Steps! The DONATIONS tab on our website now links you directly to our new secure server for donations. You no longer have to go through paypal or any other third party site! You simply enter a little bit of contact information and your credit card information, along with your gift amount. The donation comes directly into our account! You’ll receive a receipt and we’ll receive a notification. Then, of course we’ll send you a formal letter for your taxes too. We’ve made a lot of changes to the website, give it a quick review and let us know what you think!
